Welcome NewCo Boston, to the NewCo Movement!!

When it comes to revolutionary ideas that are changing the world, Boston’s innovation track record spans nearly four centuries. NewCo is proud to welcome Boston as a host city in 2016, making it the 17th festival on next year’s calendar.

“So many are familiar with the iconic academic institutions like MIT & Harvard, as well as corporate innovators like Hubspot, iRobot, TripAdvisor, and Wayfair, to name a few. We’re looking forward to diving deep into Boston’s inspiring landscape of creativity and social good with NewCo Boston,” says NewCo CEO John Battelle. “I can’t wait to see what the organizers have in store!”

“We’re excited to join the other NewCo festivals from around the globe to showcase the innovative organizations that are shaping our world,” said Mass Technology Leadership Council President and CEO Tom Hopcroft. “We invite the world to join us as we open our doors for NewCo Boston next spring.”

Boston is a city of “firsts.” The United States was founded here, and it became the first city in the country to abolish slavery. Boston is home to the first subway system, the first public university, and the country’s first professional sports team. Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone in Boston. The city has a long history with computing and is home to the densest life sciences cluster in the world. The list is long, and that’s why we’re excited to welcome NewCo Boston!!
